Air Intake Temperature

Hey guys,

So yesterday I decided to data log and see what my air intake temperature was. I am running a JLT Series 3 cold air intake and a 93 performance tune ( I have a 93 race tune I have yet to try out) from Bama alongside the x4 tuner. At 28 degrees Fahrenheit and going an average of 70mph I saw my air intake temp fluctuate from 26-30 degrees Fahrenheit. After the engine was plenty warm the idle air intake temp went from 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. I am running a 07 GT/CS with 66k as a daily driver. I was curious if anyone has a method to keep the air intake temp low regardless of outside temp ? I haven't tested it in extremely hot temperatures ( I have a black car) but im sure it might run above ambient and I would like to always see it about 10-15 degrees cooler then ambient. Thank for the help guys.

Does anyone else feel like the stock airbox is a better route then an after market cold air intake ? The lasting debate ....

Is there any data out there to show that the stock is better off then a cai ? If that is the case I will do what is best for the car.
