As long as they keep it a concept that's fine I think it would be a horrible idea and would impact their sales tremendously!!! most people I talk to that would buy a mustang are just buying a mustang and aren't as passionate as we are and most of them do not like the Fox's atall...I personally like them and think they had their time in that era but it would kill the sales I think...

I don't want to see an overgrown behemoth of a Fox Chassis car! I might write Ford off for it.
If they scaled the Mustang down and cleanly replicated some things, then the war between Chevy and Ford would be ended. Imagine a scaled down Fox looking car with the new 5.0. It would eat the Slowmaro for breakfast and would give the Vette a good run for it's money!

 

That's what I was thinking...a Fox body mixed with this big boat we have now would just look deformed...maybe they could do it like the Boss and you would have the option of a Fox and you could get a regular Mustang but in my opinion the Fox holds its place in history and shouldn't be brought back..at least not now..

Always loved the foxes. Mostly because that little cheap car killed GM's sports cars. Except for the few turbo six models that were built which also beat the corvette (which is why they stopped production). The new edge in my opinion was the last of the fox concept. The bodies might have changed but the mustang concept was the same. Small car, v8 = good weight transfer.

 

the fox can't be replicated. nothing could compare to what the fox was in the 80's. even if they would get the look right, the legacy wouldn't be the same. the fox had its era and will remain in that era.

 

I would have to agree with the majority. My first mustang was a fox, it's the reason I fell into the mustang craze. However trying to do a retro fox would be like bringing back the mustang II.

 

I said I'd like to see a concept, and I bet come another ten years that the way ford goes.

 

I think maybe they should bring back the Cobra but idk about a fox. Those should just be part of mustang history,

The 2005+ are big because the old ones are long they tried to keep that look. The foxs were the body where they went for small and sporty.

 

i would not like a hatchback... fox bodies are nice, but they belong in the years they were made.

 

IMO the 2011 doesnt look that big compared to my 07. It looks shorter and kinda stubby.I would love to see a retro mod style fox with the new 5.0 in it,some great suspension parts,modern interior and the sync system in it.Maybe a special order type deal.

yea i think the 2010+ are actually smaller than the 2005-2009
