Well glasspack is a muffler. It normally utilizes just fiberglass packing to deaden sound. Like magnaflow and cherry bomb is an example of glass pack mufflers.

 

I herd they sound Realy bad on our cars...

 

I think it depends on x/h pipe and cat or cat-less. If you do it right I think the magnapack will sound good.

 

Hey, seems like any little thing you do makes a world of difference when it comes to exhaust, I say do it, I wanted one at first, but now I think I'm goin for like a flow master 40 or 44, haven't decided.

 

Yeah I have a flow40 now but I want a magnaflow. Don't get me wrong flowmasters sound mean but personally the metal sound gets old. I rather have a deeper smoother sound that may be a little more quiet.

Anyone try thrush? I got a set of the 2 chambers. There called welded and I guess the design is similar to flows. I'm about to put on a bassani or x pipe and the thrushes

I have one on now and its not loud at all for me but than again my exhaust is all stock except that.

 

How's the tone sound tho? Mines def gunna be louder cause it's catless and 2.5 in piping

 

The tone is sikk its like a low rumble like a mean one lol i like it only if it was louder but yea i think youll like it

If u want magnaflo just leave the stock mufflers on it, ther just as quiet. My car came with magnaflos, I put lt headers,o/rx on and barely made any difference.

 

I have have dual dumped magnapacks and it's pretty loud compared to other things I've heard. I like them!!

 

Yeah that sounds like a sweet set up.

 

I'm happy with my single straight pipe.

 

I'd say a Mac prochamber along with pype bomb axle backs should sound beast on a v6.

I agree, they have a metal sound on the v6, sounds like a tractor almost. I too prefer the magnaflow.

 

When I bought my Stang it came with a single thrush on it real quit rumble

I have actually been wondering about magnaflow tho I was told at a few different muffler shops around these parts that the flow master 10 series sounds the best for v6 mustangs gives it the deep v8 sound they say all I have heard is ones on YouTube

 

I know this is a prety old thread, but I just wanted to say, I just installed a magnaflow glass pack today, and so far I like it. I got the longest one and just had a shop weld it straight to my Ypipe then dump it before the axle and weld a turn down so it won't suck up water, whole setup, labor and all (since I can't weld :/) came to about $100, not to bad? And I think I feel a few more ponies from it too hahaha

 

How much did you pay for the glasspack?

 

35 or 40 bucks, + my turn down + the work to weld it.

I bought a 28 inch one also I just haven't had time to weld it, what's the different lengths affect?

 

I've heard it mellows it out and doesn't pop as much when you rev it with the longer glasspacks
