The Driveshaft from the Foxbody will work if you change yokes. A foxbody drive shaft has a T5 has a 28spline output and the 3650 has a 31spline. The 3650 will bolt to any 4.6LThe driveshaft will be the same, just get a driveshaft from any fox bodied car running this transmission.
Be more worried about the bell housing mating up to a V6, this is where you will run into issues.
Nope the same 3650 is used. The 03-04 Mach has a .62 final gear for the 3.55's. where as the other's used in 01-04 GT's/Cobra came with .67 for the 3.27's. Also the 3650 is rated for 360ft lbs.I think some used the 3650-HD such as the cobras in 01 (not sure if all but some perhaps) and maybe the bullit. hmmm need to do some research.
Info above is direct from tremec themselves and can be confirmed by running the ford service part #'s as well as early 01 where T45's and not 3650. IE 01 cobras where T45 and not 3650. Model change for 2002 during 2001 year were 3650's for GT.cliffyk said:Only the earliest 3650s used in the New-Edge Mustangs had the 0.675:1 (0.68:1) 5th gear ratio. This is from a 2007 Transmission Digest article :
The SC version of the roush is a stock 2v. 400 to 450 is about the limit of the reliability of the internals. But you can just get a forged rotating assembly to up reliability. Otherwise the stock 2v can handle your needs. Majority of mod motor failures stem from tunes.roush1993 said:I have a 03 roush stage 2. I want to supercharged it but some people say I need to get a 03 cobra block. Can someone help me? I want my car to push around 500 or 400 HP!![]()
I thought the 0.62:1 5th was special to the 03-04 Mach 1's (for MPG's) because they have a 3.55 gear.Only the earliest 3650s used in the New-Edge Mustangs had the 0.675:1 (0.68:1) 5th gear ratio. That is correct I was referring to the gt'sAzure said:I thought the 0.62:1 5th was special to the 03-04 Mach 1's (for MPG's) because they have a 3.55 gear.
