OK OK I want to start on my motor mods soon..... What should I start out with?

Then I'd do gears, as stated before 3.73s for manual, 4.10s for automatic. Next, I'd get a set of underdrive pulleys and maybe a cold air intake. A timing adjuster is also a good mod for the 4.6 SOHC, but you will probably need to run a higher octane fuel if you want to bump the timing.
From here on out is where you start having to decide on how serious you're gonna get with the car, as far as the engine. There are still a couple other small bolt-ons you could do, but they start to get expensive for their gains, such as a throttle body or mass air meter.
Any mods beyond there are going to be pretty major and will require a little forward thought.
