What oil to run while running e85?

Was brought to my attention that royal purple xpr is real good for e85 because it's alcohol resistant. Anyone else been told this or run anything specific when using e85? Stuff is really pricey at about 20 bucks a qt tho. I usually run m1 extended 5w-20 or pennzoil platinum. Just swapped to e85 and wondering if I really need to switch oils. I usually change at 3000-3500 miles. Car sees dd and drag racing action.

I use the xpr, yes it's very expensive

I had to do a lot of trial and error on this, back when I swapped.

Thats what I picked up today. $128 for 8 quarts and a filter. What's the interval supposed to be on corn with this? Prefer to avoid another oil change that exoen lol what results did you fine with trial and error? Anything wrong with say m1 extended just change it every 1500-2k or so?

Cost is 2.19 for corn vs 3.84 for 93 at a shell on my way to work. Tested it and it's e90. Have it locally also but they want 2.59 vs 3.09 for 93, so seems to depend where I go. Mobil is nuts for wanting 2.59 a gallon when their 87 is 2.79. Performance.. Like going from a stock tune to a race tune all over again on top of a 93 race tune. Car pulls much harder and throttle response is through the roof. Gotta have the right tuner.

and hard to find to fill up

I still change mine every 3,000-4,000 it can go longer. But I'm hard on my car when I do drive it so it's just piece of mind.

And my trial and error was experiencing with different oils. From regular royal purple , amsoil, and Mobil 1. They just break down fast

How often would you say intervals would need to be with m1 and ams oil? So 3k is good with RP then..?

You can definitely get more than 1500 out of it.
But like I said it really just depends on how hard you are on the car when you do drive it.
But 3k just check it regularly, and you can probably get 4 out of it if your not beating the snot out of the car. (But it will be broken down considerably at This time)
It's all personal preference really, everyone is going to have what they are comfortable with.
Just check it bud. The xpr will drain your wallet real quick. That's why I will not be running it if I move back.

Here's a question... What to look for in the oil to tell of your getting alcohol in it? What's the signs it's worn down, or is it the same signs as when running on 93?
