Hey everyone! Im strongly leaning toward Flowmaster 40s, ive heard them on a friends stang and I love them, very nice. But im debating whether I should really take out all of the bone stock and put in true dual exhaust H-pipe or should I just leave it Y-pipe. I dont have the big bucks to spend right now, but if its really worth getting True Dual Exhaust H-Pipe then ill keep on saving up for it. Whats the opinion of you guys?

Alrighty, I have 400 dollars to work with. What do you think the best thing would be to do? Do I just head over to my nearest exhaust shop and tell them to take out the Y-pipe and put in a H-pipe with Dual Flowmaster Delta 40's? Or should I goto ebay or anything like that? Im trying to find the cheapest place to get them. Now even if I do order them online and they come, all I do is take the exhaust and my car and goto a shop and they'll do it for me right? And all id have to pay is labor?

Thanks for any help guys! Im mad excited about this whole thing!:D

i say go true dual aswell, which would be no H/Y pipe just straight back off the headers.

alright so just straight out to the dual, no hpipe and ****, umm, how much you think it would cost to get GT Takeoff tailpipes with Flowmaster Delta 40s? is 400 enough? And would I want 2.25 or 2.5's? I have CAI, Air Silencer Removed.

You can get the Pacesetter exhaust adapter for 70, gt take offs and then the mufflers well under 400. Personal Im anti flowmaster, some friends had them and the quailty isnt great.

Magnapacks... Magnapacks... Magnapacks :D... you can hear what they'll sound like in the Lounge section I think... I've got 2.5'' exhaust through 3.5'' tips and h-pipe.... stock cats and of course, Magnapacks. I paid $100 for tailpipes, $10 for them to align everything properly, if I had had them put it on in the first place, it would've cost me another $25... lol, so I just jigged it up there :D.... and the tips were free.... $10 to install that, and then $30 for h-pipe, so I'm looking at $175 plus mufflers all said... the mufflers were my choice of $140 for the pair.... which is probably too much, but hey, now I can say I'm running Magnaflow Performance Exhaust, instead of cheap Stainless Steel pipe.... help the car resell 10 years down the road maybe... anyway, just listen to the clips and you can know what it'll sound like. By the way, the girls look at me now too :)... I don't know if it's the flames or the exhaust or the subs, but it sure as hell aint me... but they all look. They voted, and apparently, I've got the coolest car on campus :D:D:D, just found that out today :) SOO happy about that :D

what planet are you from? Flowmasters have nothing to do with the sound of a stang:lol: I personally think they are over rated and sound like crapola. Go with the Magnapacks or the Mac's.

Shop around locally at the muffler shop where you are at. Flowmasters are the #1 selling performance muffler around almost every shop sells them and most will give you a decent price if they do the exhaust for you. But shop around look to the locally owned shops instead of the big name shops who tend to be way over priced. I got 2 dynomax mufflers complete with all the piping for the dual exhaust and installation for 250.00. They orginally put on Flowmasters but after 3 days I had them take them off and put on Dynomax. I do a lot of interstate driving and the drone at normal Highway speed was not good.
